PORTVILLE MAN SENTENCED IN OLEAN BAR BREAK-IN

A Portville man was sentenced Monday in Cattaraugus County Court to serve up to seven years in prison for burglarizing an Olean bar last year.

Stephen C. Gilroy, 26, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary in connection with a Nov. 5 entry at Tito's Tavern.

County Judge Paul B. Kelly sentenced Gilroy to serve 3 1/2 to seven years in prison for his plea.

Walter B. Andrews, 32, of Little Valley was sentenced to one year in the county jail for first-degree sexual abuse of a girl under age 11 last Sept. 8 in the City of Salamanca.

Kelly set sentencing for Oct. 15 in two other cases after hearing guilty pleas.

Scott M. Case, 25, of Kill Buck pleaded guilty to drunken driving Jan. 7 in the City of Salamanca.

Matthew J. Davis, 20, of Salamanca pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny for stealing a wallet from a Salamanca man in September.
