A Friendship man accused of sexually assaulting a horse is one of four people who will be arraigned Monday on charges handed up by a Cattaraugus County grand jury.
Roger B. Zaveson, 48, of Feaster Road is charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and sexual misconduct on March 25 in a barn on Wolf Run Road in Portville.
Zaveson is accused of sexually assaulting a miniature Arabian mare.
Richard L. Rogers, 42, of Angelica faces two charges of fourth-degree grand larceny in an alleged garage-building scam.
He is accused of taking $1,300 in deposits in the Town of Carrollton last June 29 and July 3, and contracting to build garages. Both victims failed to get their deposits back and their garages were not completed.
George C. Haas Jr., 22 ,and Kelly S. Givens, 21, both of Olean, were named in an indictment charging them with two counts of third-degree and two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Police said that on May 14 at their home, the pair had more than one gram of cocaine and an eighth of an ounce of methamphetamine that they intended to sell.
