Services for James A. Beatty, a resident of Niagara Falls for the last 45 years, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Otto Redanz Funeral Home, Michigan Avenue at 10th Street. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
Beatty, 51, died Sunday (June 24, 1990) in his home on Packard Court after a seven-month illness.
A native of Unity, Pa., he was a laborer for many years at Pfeiffer's Foods, a manufacturer of salad dressing, in Wilson. He began working for General Abrasives Co. in 1971, transferring later to Greif Brothers Corp. He retired last year from the maintenance crew at the Niagara Falls Public Safety Building because of illness.
Survivors include his wife, the former Dolores Miano; a daughter, Diane L.; a stepson, Victor Miano Jr. of Tustin, Calif.; a sister, Priscilla Sherman of Orlando, Fla., and two stepbrothers, Glenn L. Bolam of Erie, Pa., and Dale D. Bolam of the Town of Niagara.
