He previously was president of DMT Intercorp. The company also appointed Tommaso Occhiuto senior vice president, responsible for sales and market development. He had been vice president of marketing for DMT. He is a Canisius College graduate.

Sargent-Webster-Crenshaw & Folley, a architectural, engineering and planning firm, has elected Donald J. Skowron managing partner. He joined the firm in 1980 and became a full partner in 1982. He has served as partner-in-charge of business development and project management and has managed the firm's Buffalo and Albany offices. Skowron, a Buffalo native, is a registered architect in New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine and Virginia. He currently is partner-in-charge of the new $21 million Center for Advanced Materials project at Clarkson University in Potsdam.

Marion Merrell Dow USA, a Cincinnati, Ohio-based division of Marion Merrell Dow Inc., has presented Marie L. Hyrick with its "1989 President's Pin Award" for outstanding sales performance. She is a sales representative with the company's Upstate New York division. She lives in West Seneca.
