AMHERST WOMAN APPOINTED TO STATE AGENCY'S BOARD

Paula Alcala-Rosner, an Amherst consultant, has been appointed to the board of directors of the state Job Development Authority, a state agency that provides economic development loans to businesses.

Ms. Alcala-Rosner, former executive director of the Puerto Rican-American Community Association, advises businesses and government units on the nuances of dealing with people from different cultures. She was appointed to the state authority by Gov. Cuomo, and that appointment was recently confirmed by the State Senate.
