Country singer Charley Pride had a hit on his hands, but this one had nothing to do with Billboard charts.
Pride played in an Old Timers baseball exhibition before Saturday's major league game between the Texas Rangers and the Seattle Mariners.
He got a single in his only time at bat, scored a run and made a nifty running catch while playing the outfield.
The catch by Pride stole a hit from former Boston Red Sox All-Star Pete Runnels. "I've made stars out of a lot of them," Runnels said after the fanfare.
