Fire officials are investigating the cause of an early morning blaze Sunday that heavily damaged an East Side home.
There were no injuries.
Three fire companies were called to the home of Arthur Harrington, 53 Wescott St., about 4 a.m. No one was home when flames erupted in an entryway-kitchen area.
Assistant Fire Chief Richard Pollaro said flames extended through the roof of the home's entrance into the second floor. The fire also damaged the first-floor living room.
