The hitting of North Tonawanda's Mahoney twins, Dave and Ed, led Troop I to a 4-3 victory over South Buffalo in an American Legion baseball game at Cazenovia Park Saturday.

Dave hit a homer and single (two RBIs) while Ed hit a double and single for Troop I (7-1). Pat McMahon hit two doubles and single for South Buffalo.

Elsewhere, Brounschidle defeated Medina, 8-1, at St. Joe's field as Jim Robertson tossed a two-hitter with five strikeouts. Also, Tom Aescbacher hit two doubles and Steve Cook had two hits for Brounschidle (5-2).

Orchard Park (6-1) defeated Jurek, 6-1, at the Amherst Rec Center behind Pat Broadwater's seven-hitter. Scott Lawrence and Jeff Balen hit triples and Mike Mulawka had two hits for OP. Jurek is 3-3.

ALLEGANY-CATTARAUGUS: Winning pitcher Steve Williams recorded nine strikeouts, had two hits and scored the game-winning run in the ninth as Bradford rallied for four runs to defeat Shinglehouse, 7-5.
