A Niagara Falls man was accused Saturday of forcing his way into a residence and beating a 30-year-old woman with a steel pipe.

Richard Webb, 24, of 527 30th St. was charged with a felony count of assault, police said. He will be arraigned Monday in City Court.

Detectives Anthony Conte and John Donner accused Webb of forcing his way into a 20th Street residence early Saturday and hitting an occupant with a steel pipe. She required treatment in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for multiple injuries, police said.
