Sid Akens has been appointed assistant manager of the new Stovroff & Herman Realtors Niagara Falls office located at 8294 Niagara Falls Blvd. The office opened for business on Monday, June 11.

Akens indicated that this office will fill the void between Stovroff's offices in Youngstown and the City of Tonawanda. "There have been so many inquiries from the Niagara Falls area that the company felt there was a need for an office to serve the City of Niagara Falls and the towns of Niagara and Wheatfield," Akens said.

Akens is a seven-year real estate veteran with 24 year of business management experience. He has been a GBAR presidential sales award winner for the past three years.
Matt Steffan has been named top sales account executive for the month of May by Power Funding Group, Inc., a mortgage banking company located in Williamsville.

Power Funding also announced Tom Wolf as staff FHA appraiser. He previously was associated with the firm of Wolf Appraisal Service, Inc.

Power Funding provides a variety of mortgage products through a national network of investors. The group offers conventional mortgages, FHA and VA products.
Seventeen agents from H. Potter Realtors' Cheektowaga and Lancaster offices participated in the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce annual trade show and exposition.

The three-day event was held at the recreation center in Cheektowaga Town Park. Jean Buck of Danbury Drive was the winner of Potter's dollhouse kit give-away.
