John Rossello, 88, the father of The Rev. Nicholas Rossello, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lockport, died Friday (June 22, 1990) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after he became ill this week while visiting his son.

A native of Sicily, he moved to the United States 70 years ago and settled in Broome County.

Rossello was the widower of the former Theresa DeSanta.

Survivors also include a daughter, Genevieve Bernhauer, and a grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Route 26, Maine. Prayers will be said at 10:30 in the Allen Memorial Home Inc., 511 E. Main St., Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.

A Memorial Mass will be scheduled later in St. Joseph's Church, Lockport.
