YARD-WASTE DROP-OFF CENTER OPENS MONDAY IN W. SENECA

A drop-off center for grass clippings, leaves and other yard waste will open Monday at the West Seneca Sanitation Department facility at 500 Mineral Springs Road.

Waste must be in plastic bags not more than 20 gallons in capacity and not weighing more than 50 pounds, Lorraine F. Masset, recycling coordinator, said. The waste will be accepted from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

"At certain times of the year, yard waste is the single largest element of the solid waste stream," said Mrs. Masset in urging town residents to make use of the facility.
