WHAT'S HAPPENING

BASEBALL: Canisius College coach Don Colpoys will hold a summer camp for boys ages 10-18 June 25-29 at the Demske Sports Complex. Daily sessions will run 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3:30 p.m. Call 888-2970.

BASKETBALL: Canisius College basketball coach Marty Marbach will run day camps for boys ages 8-18 June 25-29 at the Koessler Athletic Center and July 9-13 at Amherst Middle School. Villanova coach Rollie Massimino and Niagara coach Jack Armstrong will speak at the former, Celtics forward Ed Pinckney and Buffalo State coach Dick Bihr at the latter. Sessions run 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

BILLS BOOSTER CLUB: The annual installation of officers meeting will be June 26 at 7:45 p.m. at the Ramada Renaissance Hotel on Genesee Street. Among the elected officers are Pete Knaus, president, and Ray Roehner, first vice-president. Call Knaus at 826-6762.

FOOTBALL: The third Inner-City Youth Football Clinic for boys ages 7-14 will be held Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the JFK Community Center field. Bills running backs coach Elijah Pitts, linebacker Carlton Bailey and other players will provide instruction. Registration is at 9:30 a.m. The Bills' highlight film will be shown. The Buffalo Jills will be holding a cheerleading clinic for girls ages 7-14 concurrently at the William-Emslie YMCA. Call 875-1558.

RUNNING: The sixth 5K run with Sheriff Tom Higgins for Charity will be held July 13 at 6:30 p.m., starting at the Buffalo Naval and Servicemen's Park. Call 549-5987.

SOCCER: Sportsplex is running three soccer camps for youths ages 5-17 July 30-Aug. 3, with sessions running daily from 9 a.m. to noon. The divisions will be for youths (ages 5-9), juniors (10-15) and goalkeepers (9-17). The camps will be held outdoors at North Tonawanda High School and indoors at Sportsplex on Ridge Road in North Tonawanda. Call 694-8877.

SOFTBALL: The Metro Buffalo Amateur Softball Association will hold the Mid-Atlantic Girls' 18-and-under Fast Pitch Regionals July 21-22 at the Urban Sports Park at Pendleton. Teams interested in entering this qualifier for the ASA nationals should call 891-8373. . . . The PG Men's Slow Pitch Umpires Association is holding a one-day/single elimination tournament for men's class C teams June 30. Call 284-5092 or 754-7917. . . . There are openings in men's and women's open divisions of the Corky Florko Memorial Fast Pitch Tournament June 30-July 1 at Houghton Park. TENNIS: Entries close July 16 for Erie County's annual novice youth tournament, to be held July 23-Aug. 1 (excepting July 28-29) at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park. Age groups for boys and girls who have never won a championship in an open event (singles and doubles) are 12-under, 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18. WRESTLING: The University at Buffalo wrestling camp runs June 25-29 at UB's Alumni Arena. Sessions for all ages run from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., with access to the pool and weight room included.
