SUSPECT IS ARRESTED IN TWO STUN-GUN ROBBERIES

Lackawanna and Hamburg town police joined today to arrest a suspect in two stun-gun robberies within the last week.

Lackawanna Lt. Paul Strycharz and Detective Frank Rozwood today arrested Andrew Yelen, 25, of Vincent Avenue, Lackawanna, on a warrant charging first-degree robbery in connection with last Saturday's holdup at the Petro U.S.A. Gas Station on South Park Avenue.

Hamburg police also are planning to question the suspect in connection with a similar robbery early Wednesday morning at the Buffalo-South Motor Inn on Milestrip Road.

In each robbery, the bandit, dressed in a black ninja-type outfit, zapped a clerk with a stun gun before taking money, police said.
