Already into its second issue is the city's newest free arts and entertainment paper -- Buffalo Art Voice. The publisher is the Dettelis Group, which runs the Adventure Club in the old Allentown Commons Building on Elmwood Avenue near Allen Streeet. The editor in chief is poet and rock singer Jamie Moses, who jumped into that position from his old job as editor at another arts paper, Arts in Buffalo, without missing a beat. Though the two papers bear more than a passing resemblance to one another, Moses maintains that will change.
"We want to be more inclusive of all the creative energy in Buffalo," Moses says. "We'll include the material that Arts in Buffalo covers as well as what's happening on the streets. My whole intent is to introduce everybody to each other, from (Buffalo Philharmonic music director) Max Valdes to (rock singer) Terry Sullivan. Right now we're coming out every other Wednesday, but we hope to go weekly by September."
