An 8-year-old Amherst boy was killed about noon Thursday when he was pinned against a fence by a stack of steel and concrete molds, each weighing 1,000 pounds, that toppled over on him.

Police said the boy was at the construction site of a store near his home. Christopher was playing baseball with his brother, sister and a baby sitter when their ball went over the fence, police said.
