The Cattaraugus County Democratic Party is circulating nominating petitions for two persons for a primary election Sept. 11 for county treasurer.

Petitions bearing the names of Margaret A. Kenney of Olean and Russell A. Abbott of Randolph are being carried by Democratic committeemen throughout the county.

The winner of the primary would oppose County Treasurer Orville W. Johnston, R-Olean.

Petitions also have been prepared for Democratic County Clerk Gloria Bilotta, who is seeking re-election. Republicans have not announced a candidate to run against her.

In another countywide race, two coroners will be elected and political party committeemen will be chosen in each election district.
