Bus drivers, maintenance employees, nurses, clerks and other non-teaching employees of the Lake Shore Central School District have ratified a two-year contract raising their wages from 11 to 20 percent over the next two years.
Approximately 190 employees, represented by Local 264 of the Teamsters Union, are covered by the contract.
Daniel Gale, business agent for the local, said the agreement was ratified by a vote of 81 to 4 in a union vote Wednesday night.
Gale said the average wage increase was 15 percent over the life of the contract. Wages currently range from $9 to $13.50 hourly, he said.
The new contract replaces one due to expire July 1.
