Stephan O. McMullen, 21, was sentenced to the maximum of 62 1/2 years to life in prison as a repeat rapist by State Supreme Court Judge Walter T. Gorman, who said he wanted McMullen to "never see the light of day again."
McMullen was convicted in May of first-degree kidnapping, two counts of first-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sodomy and seven other charges from a pair of rapes last year. "When you come up for parole, I'll be long gone -- in my grave," Gorman said. "But my recommendation from the grave is going to be they never let you out."
McMullen was found guilty of raping and sodomizing a 28-year-old woman at knifepoint Aug. 23 and of raping, sodomizing and kidnapping for ransom an 18-year-old nursing student Sept. 24. He was on parole for raping a female counselor at a juvenile detention center in 1984, when he was 15.
