Services will be held Saturday in Surfside, Fla., for Harold "Skipp" Moss, 45, a Buffalo native who was the general manager and chief operating officer of WTWS-TV in New London, Conn.
Moss died Saturday (June 16, 1990) in a Florida hospital after battling cancer.
In Buffalo, Moss attended Bennett and Emerson high schools before joining the U.S. Army. He served as a Green Beret in the Special Forces from 1965 to 1967.
Moss got his experience in communications in the military and worked in management and sales at various television stations around the country, including WCIX and WBFS in Miami, KTXH in Houston, WGBS in Philadelphia and WGN in Chicago before working at the station in New London.
Survivors include his wife, the former Pamela McInnin of Surfside; a daughter, Seneca of North Palm Beach, Fla.; three sons, Garrett of North Palm Beach and Derek and Cord, both of Surfside; his mother, Ruth Van Dyke of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and a sister, Valerie Wallace of Bath, Pa.
