Fred D. Casterline, 82, a retired security guard at Union Carbide Corp., died Wednesday (June 20, 1990) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after being stricken in his Whitney Avenue home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Richard L. Coleman Funeral Home, 1300 Pine Ave. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Casterline moved to Niagara Falls in the 1940s and worked at Union Carbide as a security guard for 30 years. He retired in 1970.
He was a member of Pierce Avenue Presbyterian Church and LaSalle Lodge 1049, F & AM.
He was the widower of Meirionween Casterline.
Surviving are a son, Russell J. of Sanborn; a daughter, Margaret Slater of Philadelphia; a brother, Calvin of Mountaintop, Pa.; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
