FALLS WOMAN SENTENCED IN DRUG-RELATED CASE

A Niagara Falls woman who pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon in a drug-related case was placed on probation for three years and ordered to pay $62 as a penalty assessment Wednesday by Niagara County Judge Aldo L. DiFlorio.

Floreen Mims, 28, of 1643 Eighth St. pleaded guilty earlier to possessing a .38-caliber revolver at her residence May 17, 1989.

In a separate sentencing, Daniel L. Lawrence, 31, of Batavia, was fined $500 and sentenced to time already served in jail.

He pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and third-degree assault in connection with incidents in Hartland on July 19, 1988. In addition, Lawrence was ordered not to drive and was placed on three years' probation.
