EX-BONA COACH HIRED AS PRINCIPAL IN SALAMANCA

Ronald G. DeCarli, former basketball coach for St. Bonaventure University, has been hired as principal for the city's junior-senior high school.

DeCarli, who lives in Olean with his family, is currently principal of Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse, Pa.

He was one of 30 candidates and five finalists for the position. He will earn $48,000 per year, replacing Thomas DeBolski, who is retiring.

DeCarli was coach at St. Bonaventure for three years until 1989, when the university did not renew his contract. He also served as assistant basketball coach there from 1981 until 1986. He is a graduate of Clarion State College in Clarion, Pa.
