Daniel Erker has been elected business agent of Local 41 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in a race against former assistant business agent James F. Gleason.

Erker replaced Gene N. Adams as business agent when Adams resigned that post a year ago to become international representative of the union. It was Erker's first run for election.

Gleason, like Erker, was an assistant business agent under Adams. He is currently field representative for the Civil Service Employees Association.

Michael Franey was re-elected local president.

Local 41 officials declined to make the vote count public.
