Auto insurance for a teen-age male costs about three times as much as for a female. Clearly, this is discrimination based on sex. There is no reason why a careful male driver with a good record should pay any more than a female. Insurance rates for youths of both sexes should be made equal.
Some young drivers, male and female, are wild and reckless. Those specific individuals should be punished with hefty surcharges following accidents or traffic violations.
Many laws have been enacted to address discrimination against females. Let's make sure that equality is pursued just as vigorously when the shoe is on the other foot.
