A memorial Mass for Thomas W. Sweeney, a retired independent insurance agent, will be offered at 10:15 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's Catholic Church, 33 Victoria Blvd. at Delaware Avenue, Kenmore.
Sweeney, 72, of East Amherst, died Sunday (June 17, 1990) in Veterans Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Buffalo and grew up in Kenmore, graduating from Kenmore High School.
He attended Canisius College and worked in the family business, Sweeney Brothers Clothing, in Kenmore. During the war, he served as a sergeant in the Army Air Forces in the South Pacific and at Guam Air Base.
Later, he became a life insurance salesman and established his own agency in East Amherst. He retired four years ago.
Survivors include two daughters, Genevieve Geibel of Kenmore and Kathleen Keryk of Sunnyvale, Calif., and four brothers, Myles B. Jr. of Williamsville, James T. of Kenmore, Joseph P. of East Amherst and John P. of Getzville.
