The Western New York Chapter of the National Society of Fund-Raising Executives is sponsoring its annual seminar for development professionals, "1990s Focus on Fund Raising" Thursday at the Buffalo Airport Sheraton Hotel. A kick-off dinner will be held at 6 p.m. tonight at the Sheraton.
Dr. Andrew Rudnick, president and chief executive officer of the Greater Buffalo Development Foundation, will give the keynote address at 8:35 a.m. Thursday.
Other presenters in the day-long seminar will include Leonard Lenihan, majority leader of the Erie County Legislature; Joseph J. Mansfield, president of the University of Buffalo Foundation Inc., and Robert Simonds, executive counsel of Ketchum, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based fund-raising advisory firm.
The three-track seminar will offer educational experiences for those beginning a fund-raising career as well as seasoned professionals. The program also will provide an opportunity for networking and a large exhibitors' display.
