A memorial service for Richard C. Cain, a retired computer operator for the State Power Authority, will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, 505 Cayuga St.
Cain, 62, of North Fourth Street, died Monday (June 18, 1990) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Philadelphia, he lived in Niagara Falls before moving to Lewiston 30 years ago. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Cain retired in 1988 after 28 years with the Power Authority.
He was a deacon at First Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Youngstown Yacht Club and Niagara-on-the-Lake Sailing Club.
His wife, the former Louise A. Palmiter, died in 1977.
Survivors include three sons, Michael of Wappingers Falls, Peter of New York City and Timothy J.; two daughters, Rachel Forward of Albany and Sarah Wagner of Troy; a sister, Doris Shepherd of Burbank, Calif., and five grandchildren.
