Bob Brinkworth and Joe LaRosa combined on a two-hitter as the Falcons (4-0) routed East Aurora, 10-1, in a County of Erie Baseball Association game Tuesday evening.

Brinkworth, who got the win, gave up one hit and struck out eight over five innings. He and John Ring had three hits each.

Elsewhere, Gowanda (4-0) blanked Holland, 11-0, as Paul Meyers, who had one hit and 10 strikeouts, and Steve John combined on the shutout, and Chris Mendel hit a homer, triple and single for four RBIs.

Joe Mamott tossed a six-hitter and Scott Stinson had two hits, including a three-run homer, to lead Lancaster (3-1) to a 7-2 win over Eden.

AAABA: Jack Adkins (3-1) rallied for three runs in the eighth on doubles by John Catanzaro (one RBI) and Jack Ray (two RBIs) for a 9-6 victory over the Leib's. Scott Pohlman pitched two shutout innings to get the win and Tony Gocella had two hits (two-run triple) for Adkins.

Jurek Post (2-2) outlasted BFI, 16-10. Ralph Pollow had three hits (home run) for four RBIs, while Mike Swann had three hits (two RBIs) and Robb Walter got the win in relief.

Andy Hyland tossed an eight-hitter and Trey Gardner had the game-winning RBI as Town Enterprise (3-1) edged Al Maroones, 5-4. . . . The Pignataro's and Royals played to a 2-2 eight-inning tie.
