VOLUNTEERS TO CLEAN UP NATURE PRESERVE'S TRAILS

Volunteers will work this spring on trails through the Dr. Victor Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve in Cheektowaga.

Members of the Friends of the Woods will remove debris left by man and perform the work, with the goal of preserving its natural state, Michael Papero, Friends president, said. Virginia Pawik will direct the trail project.

The Friends will seek state permission to plant apple trees in the woods to supplement the food supply of the deer herd in the preserve.
