911 RESPONSE TIMES TOPIC OF COLLINS CENTER MEETING

A public meeting to discuss the effective response time to 911 emergency calls has been scheduled by Erie County's Central Police Services for 7 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Collins Center Fire Hall on Route 39.

Harold Miller, Erie County Department of Central Police Services communications director, said several emergency response officials will attend.

The meeting was called after a Collins parent complained about the slow response to his call last November when his child had breathing problems. The delay was blamed on a jurisdictional mix-up.
