CALIFORNIAN TO GIVE TALK AT NU BLACK HISTORY EVENT

Dr. Maulana Karenga, chairman of the department of black studies at California State University in Long Beach, will speak at 8 p.m. Friday in Dunleavy Hall as part of Niagara University's observance of Black History Month.

Dr. Karenga will speak on "Memory and Meaning in African History: Egypt, the Holocaust of Enslavement and the '60s." He is an activist-scholar of international recognition and is the author of several books, including "Introduction to Black Studies."
