A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary M. Covatta, a bookkeeper and lunch aide at LaSalle Senior High School in Niagara Falls, will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 620 Center St.
Prayers will be said at 9:15 in the M.J. Colucci and Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St., Niagara Falls. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Mrs. Covatta, 68, died Saturday (Jan. 27, 1990) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Niagara Falls, she graduated from Niagara Falls High School and Kelly Business Institute.
She was a bookkeeper for various companies, including her husband's business, Covatta Builders.
In her job at LaSalle High School, she was known by students as "Lotta."
Survivors include her husband, Louis; two sons, Robert F. of Niagara Falls and Richard L.; a daughter, Christine Freeland; a sister, Evelyn Marino of Niagara Falls; two brothers, Frank LoForte of Buffalo and Louis LoForte of Chicago, and eight grandchildren.
