Philip R. Gow of Cambridge, Mass., and his bride, the former Laura E. Grotz, also of Cambridge, were married at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Chapel of Harvard University. A reception was given in the Harvard Faculty Club.
The Rev. Shandra Taylor- Smith of the Harvard Divinity School performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Eleanor H. Marr of Timonium, Md., who is an interior designer, and William Arthur Grotz Jr. of Ellicott City, Md., who serves in the Federal Railroad Administration.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David W. Gow of South Wales. His father is headmaster of the Gow School, a school for dyslexics founded by his grandfather, the late Peter Gow Jr.
The bride was graduated from Roland Park Country Day School, Baltimore, Md., attended University of Delaware and studied in West London Institute in England. She is completing her degree in Harvard University.
The bridegroom is an alumnus of Nichols School, Johns Hopkins University and received a master's degree in public policy from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
He is president of Renaissance Software Inc. and is an officer of Harvard University.
The couple will make their home in Cambridge.
