Red-hot Rodney Laframboise drove five winners Saturday night at Buffalo Raceway, including Ledder Hosen in the invitational handicap pacing feature in 1:59 1/5 , the winter season's fastest and first sub-two-minute mile.

The 4-year-old Ledder Hosen grabbed the lead for good at the quarter pole and beat Meloscoot Rainbow by 4 1/2 lengths.

Laframboise also reined Bando Scarlet to a 2:03 4/5 victory in the second leg, first division, of the late-closing Winterfest Pacing Stakes for fillies and mares.

Aurora Hanover, driven by Bruce Tubin, became the only division winner of both preliminary legs when she beat Windrift Dottie by a half-length in the second division.

The eight top preliminary-leg money earners will meet in the $9,000 Winterfest final Feb. 3. Antiquity, Bando Scarlet, Merging Beauty, Glad To Know, Windrift Dottie, Carene Kash and Sheeba Breeze will be the other starters.

Post parade for today's 12-race card is 1:30 p.m.
