TRIBUTE TO A MUSIC LOVER

The Community Music School will present a free concert in memory of the late Patricia E. Curtis Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Mary Seaton Room of Kleinhans Music Hall. Curtis was a graduate of Rosary Hill College, and spent many years at her alma mater, now called Daemen College, as chairman of the music department, dean of the college and vice president for academic affairs. She was also formerly the program annotator for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Her association with the Community Music School began as a member of the Advisory Board. In 1984 she joined the Board of Trustees, and from 1988 until her death last October she served the school as president and treasurer. Community Music School faculty involved in the concert include sopranos Cheryl Hudson and Janet May, mezzo Marcia Figura Capone, pianist Linda Mabry, violinist Sally Martin, guitarist Richard Falkenstein, the Trio Dolce consisting of flutist Tacy Edwards, oboist Cheryl Bishkoff and pianist Deborah Overton, and pianist Marie Zak, who will play a work by Dr. Michael Zak. -- Herman Trotter
