PUBLIC VIEWING TIMES SET AT FREWSBURG OBSERVATORY

The Martz Observatory is planning public viewing times for the peak visibility of a comet transiting the night skies this spring.

The observatory on Robin Hill Road will schedule public viewing of "Comet Austin" in April and May.

The comet, discovered Dec. 6 by a New Zealand comet hunter, should be visible through binoculars by mid-March and is expected to be much brighter than Halley's Comet was in 1986, observatory officials said.
