Mary A. Sterner, 70, a former teacher in the Niagara-Wheatfield school system and the co-owner of a Grand Island trailer park, died Wednesday (Jan. 24, 1990) in the Faith Rest Home, Niagara Falls.
Mrs. Sterner, a Grand Island resident for 45 years, owned the Cozy Trailer Park on Grand Island with her late husband, William F. Sterner, from 1967 to 1987, when they sold the business.
She taught several subjects in the Niagara-Wheatfield schools for 20 years, retiring in 1972.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth R. of Niagara Falls, Robert M. of Pontiac, Mich., and William F. Jr. of Sanborn; four daughters, Beverly House of Phoenix, Ariz., Mary Jean Tornabene of Charleston, S.C., Marilyn Welch of Burford, Ont., and Paulette Vanderbles of Brockport; 13 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Trinity United Methodist Church, 2100 Whitehaven Road, Grand Island. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
