TWO SOUGHT BY POLICE AFTER BAKERY ROBBERY

Two young men were being sought Monday night after a strong-arm robbery at the B&R Bakery at 11 Main St. Officer Brian LeBere of the city police said the two entered the bakery on the pretense of ordering a cake, then grabbed a 67-year-old clerk and dragged her to the cash register, which she was forced to open.

The two ordered the woman into a washroom and told her to remain there while they fled on foot.

She reported the loss of her purse containing $60 and an undetermined amount of money from the cash register. Police said the two did not show a weapon.
