BURGLAR RECEIVES LENGTHY JAIL SENTENCE

A Jamestown man Monday was handed one of the most severe prison terms for burglary on record in Chautauqua County.

County Judge Lee Towne Adams sentenced Curtis Nance Jr., 24, of 19 Bradmar Circle to 8 1/3 to 18 years in state prison. He was convicted last month of burglarizing two Town of Gerry homes.

Neil Robinson, the assistant district attorney who prosecuted the case, said Nance "has quite a history of this," and had been on probation for other house burglaries.
