ST. JEROME HOSPITAL RENOVATING GROWNEY CENTER

St. Jerome Hospital is spending $300,000 to renovate the Growney Memorial Medical Arts Center, adding more physician suites, a weight management center and a community education wellness program.

The medical building was erected in 1974 on land purchased and donated by the Growney family of Batavia. Located next to the hospital, it currently houses 11 doctors' offices and the Genesee County Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse.

Associate hospital administrator Donald R. Lewis said the renovation should be completed by early spring.
