Buffalo Hutch-Tech product Kevin Roberson recorded an unusual triple-double Sunday, scoring 20 points, pulling down 17 rebounds and blocking 11 shots in Vermont's Kevin Roberson64-55 victory over Dartmouth.

Vermont (7-8) ran out to a 25-20 halftime lead as Roberson, a 6-foot-7 sophomore, scored 10 points and added nine rebounds and six blocks.

The Catamounts host Canisius at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Roberson tied his career high for points in a game, and set career highs in rebounds and blocks. He began the week ranked third in the nation in blocked shots, with 68 in 15 games. Sunday's game was his fifth with seven or more blocks.

Roberson also is second on the Catamounts in scoring at 12.3 points per game and leads the North Atlantic Conference in rebounding with 9.1 per game.

Vermont opened the second half with a three-pointer from Matt Johnson and Rich Tarrant's two inside baskets to lead, 32-27. Rahim Huland El's baseline jumper made it 56-49 with 1:44 left.

After Dartmouth's James Blackwell, who led the Big Green (8-6) with 18 points, hit a three-pointer to cut Vermont's lead to four, Johnson and Huland El hit four free throws each in the final minute to seal the victory.

Huland El had 14 points, Johnson 13 and Kenny White a career-high 11 assists.

Dartmouth got 13 assists and three blocks from Walter Palmer.
