Wehle Electric Co., 475 Ellicott St., has named Albert Dachauer to its board of directors. He has been with the company since 1951 and currently serves as vice president and operations manager for its four district branches.

The Association of Chartered Life Underwriters and Chartered Financial Consultants, Buffalo Chapter, has elected David G. Schilling president. Other officers are: vice president, James J. Tyrpak; secretary, Donald B. Kohnstamm, and treasurer, Lillian Payen.

Broadcast News Files Inc., a newly formed television news monitoring service with offices at 2316 Delaware Ave., has named Lois Sugar president. The firm provides video clips of local and national newscasts from its own video library. Ms. Sugar formerly handled national publicity for the Sally Jessy Raphael television program.

Nova Casualty Co. of Buffalo has elected Richard L. Cole secretary of the corporation. He joined Nova in 1988 and currently is responsible for the company's development and marketing. He is a graduate of Hobart College and a resident of Orchard Park.

Recra Environmental Inc. of Amherst has appointed R. Steven Maxwell executive vice president and chief development officer. He previously served as vice president of business development for United States Pollution Control Inc. and manager of strategic planning for the Environmental Services Group of Union Pacific Corp. He holds a bachelor's degree from Earlham College and a master's degree from Harvard University.

The company also announced three other appointments. Theresa D. Schaab has been promoted to manager of waste prevention management services. Linda Michalczak has been named manager of environmental liability management services. Frank Milano has been appointed manager of environmental data management services. He holds a bachelor's degree from Brockport State College and a master's degree from Canisius College.

Price Communications Corp. has elected James H. Meltzer senior vice president for radio. He joined the company in 1986 as vice president and general manager of WWKB-AM and WKSE-FM in Buffalo and will continue to serve in that capacity. He also will supervise the company's radio properties in Fort Wayne, Ind. and West Palm Beach, Fla.

Gannett Co. Inc. has named former Buffalo resident Denise Holman director of advertising sales development. She previously was advertising director for The Coloradoan in Fort Collins, Colo. Prior to joining Gannett, Ms. Holman Served as assistant classified advertising manager for The Buffalo News.
