Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Annunciation was the setting Sunday at 3:30 p.m. for the marriage of Rita S. Nicholas to David Henry Miles. The Rev. James A. Doukas heard their vows.

Mr. and Mrs. Spiros N. Nicholas of Williamsville are the bride's parents. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Miles of Town of Tonawanda. A reception was given in Samuel's Grande Manor. The newly married couple will make their home in Amherst after a trip to St. Thomas.

Alencon lace and seed pearls trimmed the bride's ivory satin gown fashioned with a sabrina neckline and Juliet sleeves. The skirt had a bustle and extended into a cathedral train decorated with lace appliques. Pearl pendants and crystals accented the headpiece that held her fingertip veil. She carried long stem champagne roses with multicolor accents.
