Included in Julie Marie Giesler's ensemble when she and David Matthew Smith were married at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Elma, were her great-grandmother's diamond earrings.

The Rev. Nancy Anderson Milleville performed the ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick W. Giesler of Elma and the son of Nancy Smith and Leon Smith, both of Jamestown. A reception was given in Hearthstone Manor before the couple left for Bar Harbor, Maine. They will be at home in Amherst.

A satin gown styled with an illusion yoke and beaded lace wedding ring collar on the long-sleeve bodice was chosen by the bride. The full skirt, on which lace motifs were scattered, was bordered with lace and formed a cathedral train appliqued with lace in a windowpane effect. A silk floral wreath with pearl sprays held her veil. She carried roses and pink miniature carnations.
