The beaded headpiece with a spray of silk flowers that held Mary Katherine Snider's veil when she and Mark James Heim were married at noon Saturday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Amherst, was made by her mother.

Performing the ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Snider of Williamsville and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Heim of Clarence was the Rev. Paul M. Nogaro. A reception was given in Protocol Restaurant before the newly married couple left for Florida. They will be at home in Clarence.

Re-embroidered Alencon lace with seed pearls edged the portrait neckline and trimmed the bodice and leg-of-mutton sleeves of the bride's satin gown. The skirt and cathedral train were bordered with matching beaded lace. She carried gardenias, roses and gypsophila.
