Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Town of Tonawanda, was the setting Saturday at 5:30 p.m. for the wedding of Kathleen Marie Retzer and Reuben Ernest Clark. The Rev. George L. Reger performed the ceremony.
The bride, daughter of Mrs. Carol M. Retzer of Amherst, was given in marriage by her brother, Edwin M. Retzer of Lockport, to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arch G. Clark of Pittsboro, N.C. A reception was given in Little White House Restaurant before the newly married couple left for Hawaii. They will be at home in Charlotte, N.C.
Schiffli embroidered appliques, sequins and seed pearls decorated the bride's ivory satin gown. The basque was styled with a sabrina neckline and leg-of-mutton sleeves. Strands of pearls accented the back and a bow was at the waistline. The bouffant skirt extended into a cathedral train. A band of flowers, pearls and lilies of the valley held her fingertip veil.She carried roses, stephanotis and tiger lilies.
Mrs. Peter K. Bradley was matron of honor for her sister. Attendants were Mrs. Edwin M. Retzer, Mrs. Charles Pelitera, Mrs. Michael A. Ryan, Sharon A. Clark of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Ruby M. Clark of Pittsboro, sisters of the bridegroom, and Dr. Diane H. Fortman.
The bridegroom's father was best man. Ushers were Mr. Retzer, Mr. Bradley, Euell Elliott of Oxford, N.C., Marlin Lasater of Pittsboro, John Howard of Gastonia, N.C., and Troy Gammon of Allardt, Tenn.
