A Papal Blessing was bestowed on the marriage of Elsie Faxon Lewis and Keith James Rothfus Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Washington, D. C.
The Rev. Christopher Begg and the Rev. Pierre Conway performed the ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar S. Lewis of Sewickley, Pa., and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Rothfus of Orchard Park. A reception was given in Crystal City Marriott Inn. After a summer in London, England, the couple will live in South Bend, Ind.
A peau de soie gown fashioned with an off-the-shoulder neckline was worn by the bride with an elbow-length veil. She carried roses, stephanotis and freesia.
Mary Britton of Stratford-on-Avon, England, was matron of honor for her sister and attendants were Mrs. Curran Estreich of New York City, another sister, Joan Andrews of Lewisburg, Tenn., and Diane Bodner of Bowie, Md. Elizabeth Bollinger and Cecilia Estreich, nieces of the bride, were flower girls, and Patrick Boland of Falls Church, Va., was ring bearer.
Earl S. Rothfus of Rochester was best man for his brother. Ushers were another brother, John Rothfus of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Michael Bollinger of Kensington, Md., and Tony Ciko.
