DUPLICATE BRIDGE

The Bridge Works, a new bridge center at 442 Beach Road, Cheektowaga, will open at 7:30 p.m. Saturday with a a novice and open Swiss Team game. The center will feature two games daily Monday through Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday times will be announced. The week of June 5 there will be no games Monday evening or Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Pat or Dick Rasmus, 649-4634, will arrange partnerships.

Epson Pairs, computer dealt hands, will be played at 7:45 p.m. June 9 at the Elks Club, 285 Kenmore Ave. Jeanette Michienzi, 741-3624, is arranging partners.

Williamsville Bridge Center, 7200 Transit Road, Amherst, will have a club tournament at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Wednesday night club tournament at the Williamsville Center was won by Tom Wolstoncroft and Pow Wooldridge with a 62 percent game.

Saturday afternoon club tournament at Williamsville Center was won by Bill Rushmore and Renzo Renzoni with a 56 percent.

Gibson Tuesday Afternoon club will have a qualifier for the North American Open Pairs at 11:45 a.m. June 6 in the Kenmore Knights of Columbus Hall, 1530 Kenmore Ave. Half-red points will be awarded.

The Blue Lantern game will be held at 1 p.m. next Sunday in the Springbrook restaurant. For partners, call Arlene Clark, 655-2324.

Winners of the open section of the May 20 Swiss Team game at the Hamburg Community Bridge Club were Tom Wolstoncroft, Diane Scalia, Pow Wooldridge and Barb Hill with 92 victory points. In the novice section, Bill and Jane Hoffman and Alan and Pat Tanner tied the team of Sam and Agnes Scime and Bob and Mary Ann Honeker at 42 points.
