Iroquois Schools Superintendent Lawrence Pereira Thursday released the estimated 1989-90 school budget tax rates for each of the six towns comprising the district. They are:
Elma, which has not adopted full value assessments, $1,170 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, up $18.65; Marilla, $15.12, up $1.60; Wales, $14.77, up $1.57, Aurora, $16.95 up $1.79; Lancaster, $16.11 an increase of $1.70, and Bennington, $21.33, a hike of $2.26.
The total tax levy to be raised is $6,753,632. The rates are expected to be refined further in August after a review of assessments is completed.
Correction- The estimated tax rate for Elma residents of the Iroquois Central School| District is $170 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for the 1989-90 school year. Elma has not adopted full value assessments . A Story Friday in the "Buffalo News gave the wrong rate.
